IEA Teams
& 4H
IEA Teams are a unique opportunity for students in grades 4-12 to showcase their skills and talent without owning a horse. Here at Lakeside Equine Estate, we offer two teams: huntseat and dressage. Our teams consist of all ages and skill levels. Points are tracked for individual rider accomplishments and for overall, team accomplishments. Individuals and teams earn points to qualify for regional, zone, and national finals. The season starts August 1st and ends at the national finals in late spring. This is also a great way for our students to connect and create lasting friendships! Several of our students lease our lesson horses for the 4H season, which runs march through july. 4H is a great learning experience and provides an introduction to showing.
Leasing
Want more time in the saddle and the opportunity to show with us? There are several opportunities to half lease a horse on our property. Our leasing program provides access to ride up to an additional two days a week outside of your normal lesson schedule. All lessess must be in our lesson program and get first right to show their leased horse. Our staff is committed to going to several shows each year, both locally and nationally. We regularly attend 4-H shows, opens shows, breed shows, and discipline-specific shows. Our pricing for a half lease is $550/mo. Reach out for more information!
Step Up
Ready to purchase your first horse? we have designed a "step-up" program to assist in buying, training, teaching, and showing. Our staff has experience in finding the right horse within budget for you and/or your student. we assess the rider's abilities and listen to your goals. We then act as an agent and begin searching for the right horse, with the skills that align with your needs. we have the capability to "shop" locally, regionally, and even internationally. Shopping for the perfect partner canbe stressful. We will guide your through the process, assisting in pre-purchase exams, trial rides, and arranging transportation. Our staff will use our contacts and knowledge to help you confidentally purchase your horse and bring them home to lakeside!
